2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from you when you interact with our e-commerce platform. We minimize data collection to what is strictly essential to process your commercial orders and preserve the cybersecurity of our architecture:

  • Customer & Order Details: First and last name, billing address, shipping address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Technical and Security Data: IP address, browser type, server log files, and cryptographic fingerprints processed by our proprietary Proof-of-Work validation mechanism to mitigate brute-force and automated denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
  • Profile Information: User account initials used to safely generate and display a stable profile avatar within your account dashboard.

3. How We Use and Share Your Information

We use your personal information to fulfill our commercial agreements and protect our legitimate corporate interests:

  • Order Fulfillment: Processing transactions, validating cross-border compliance parameters, and generating digital commercial invoices.
  • Logistics and Global Delivery: Sharing your delivery address and contact details strictly with specialized international shipping carriers (such as USPS, DHL, DPD, UPS, or FedEx) to dispatch your orders directly from our fulfillment center located in Porte de Savoie, France, to the United States.
  • Infrastructure Security: Reviewing connection parameters and cryptographic proof within our custom-built PHP backend to actively defend against fraudulent activity and server security breaches.

No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data: RPtronics does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties for marketing, profiling, or cross-contextual behavioral advertising purposes.

4. International Data Transfers & Hosting

Because RPtronics is located in Europe, your personal information will be transferred outside of the United States and stored in secure data centers located within the European Union. Our dedicated cloud servers are provided by OVHCLOUD (Roubaix, France) and are managed in an isolated, fully encrypted network environment that adheres to strict international cybersecurity standards.

5. Data Retention

Server connection logs and system security parameters are automatically purged or anonymized after a maximum of 12 months. E-commerce transactional records, billing data, and customer purchase histories are retained longer to comply with mandatory international tax and accounting statutory duties (ranging from 5 to 10 years depending on the legal requirement).

6. US State Privacy Rights (California CCPA/CPRA and Others)

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others), you may possess specific statutory rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Correct: The right to request modifications to inaccurate or obsolete data.
  • Right to Delete: The right to request the absolute deletion of your personal records, subject to explicit legal exemptions (such as completing an ongoing transaction or tax compliance auditing).
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: The right to receive equal service and pricing when exercising any of your consumer privacy rights.

To submit a verifiable consumer request to exercise these rights, please contact us through our website's secure contact form or by reaching out to our privacy representative via email.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our website is a general audience commercial platform intended for businesses and adults purchasing electronic and technical items. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal info, we will purge it from our systems immediately.

8. Custom Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We do not engage in cross-site user behavioral tracking or targeted third-party advertising. Our e-commerce system utilizes a strictly proprietary, custom-built PHP session cookie structure designed to retain structural elements (such as preserving items in the customer's shopping cart and managing authenticated states within the private user control panel). Your browser's "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are fully respected by our platform as we do not perform tracking activities.
